Front Porch Removal

 

Front Paint Stripping

The clear douglas fir siding was in such great shape that it should be kept. The paint was shot so I had to strip it all off. I used a portable heat lamp that did the job rather well. It was still a lot of work.



 

Front Gable

The front gable window was in sorry shape and there was no structure holding up the wall. I decided to fill it in for the coming porch expansion.


 

Basement Windows

We had the concrete foundation cut for some larger windows in the basement.



 

Back steps

I finally had to make some new steps for the back door. Cedar structure and Ipe surface.
